Marseille Airbnb and the meublé de tourisme register

Checked against marseille.fr in October 2026

Airbnb hosts in Marseille follow the same Ville de Marseille rules as other platforms. Practical information with links to official sources, not legal advice.

Registration number on Airbnb

After you open a host account on taxedesejour.marseille.fr and validate your property, paste the 13-digit number into the field Airbnb shows for France. Use the same number on Booking and other channels. Host Registry listing health tracks per-channel display.

90-night cap (primary residence)

Primary residences are capped at 90 furnished tourist nights per year in Marseille. Connect iCal in Host Registry to count nights. Exceeding the cap may lead to a civil fine of 10 000 EUR.

Non-primary homes

Secondary and investment units need change-of-use authorisation with compensation before day 1. The online registration number is not authorisation. See the full Marseille STR guide for compensation, DPE, Guichet unique filing and DAACT.

Taxe de séjour and platforms

Create your taxedesejour.marseille.fr account even if Airbnb collects tax for you. Platform collection applies only when you rent exclusively through Airbnb, Abritel, Homelidays or HomeAway. Direct bookings: you collect, declare and pay online.
